Solta, the closest island to Split, is just a 45 minute speed boat ride from Hvar and a world away! With just 1500 year round residents, Solta has remained one of the most unspoiled islands in the Adriatic. A favorite of sailors, who enjoy its 22 bays, Solta is also the island of olives, honey and wine. We’ll be taken to the groves of one of Croatia’s most award winning mills to learn about the oldest cultivated tree in the world. Then tour the mill and enjoy a tasting and home-cooked meal with wonderful local Dobricic wine, grown only here and one of the parents of Plavac Mali! Before we leave, you have some time to buy your favorite oil right at the mill. Then it’s off to the third generation honey farm of Goran Tvrdic overlooking the ocean… Where you can even get a chance to make your own as well as buy a selection of honey products at Goran’s shop! A marvelous day in nature spent with local Croatians who are preserving a way of life that has gone on here for over 1,500 years! Ask about our Special Olive Harvest Tours, late Oct. - early November where you can pick olives, watch them be processed and take home your own bottle of first-pressed extra virgin oil!

Tour description: This is a full day tour from Hvar to the island of Solta, stopping at Maslenica and then being picked up by van for the grove/honey farm excursion and lunch. After returning to the boar, we'll have a short cruise around Solta and time for swim.
Meeting point: we will pick you up at your hotel, villa, private accommodation, where your boat is moored or meet you at one of our four tour booths in Hvar Town. We will agree on this when the tour is booked.
Departure time: between 8 - 10AM. This tour can also be arranged at a time that is convenient for you, so please ask us what your unique requirements are and we will be happy to get back to you with the particulars and our price.
Duration: This is a full - day program, 6 - 8 hours
End location: We will end this tour where you wish - at the marina, your hotel, villa or private accommodation. Just let us know
